Recreation Summer Camp Registration

Registration for Recreation Summer Camp will take place on the following date and time:

Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Summer Camp starts on June 24, 2015 and ends on August 7, 2015.  The hours of the program are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Should you have any questions, please contact 201-387-4055 ext. 4095.

Popular youth sports in the town of Bergenfield do not just cover common games such as baseball or football, but have a following in youth wrestling as well.  The Bergenfield wrestling program, which is part of the Twin-County Junior Wrestling League, and involves about 50 to 60 towns in the State of NJ, has traditionally served as an outlet where kids have the opportunity to compete in various matches and events.

2013 Bergenfield Summer Playground Program

Monday, June 24th through Friday, August 2nd   The Bergenfield Summer Playground Program, sponsored by the Bergenfield Recreation Department, will be accepting registrations on the following dates/times at the Veterans Memorial Park Pavilion in Veterans Memorial Park (New Bridge Rd.) Wednesday, June 5th from 7 pm to 9 pm Saturday: June 15th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday June 19 from 7 pm to 9 pm Registrations will also be taken in person on Monday June 24th, the first day of the Summer Playground Program, at the main pavilion in Memorial Park.  Bergenfield’s Summer Playground Program is a six (6) week program which starts on Monday June 24th and ends on Friday August 2nd.  The program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am thru 4:00 pm for children ages 5 – 12, and 9:00 thru 12 noon for children 4 years of age. There is also a program for 13 year olds from 9:00 am to 1 pm at Bergenfield High School. Registration fees for Bergenfield Residents are $125 for the first child, $75 for each additional child. Registration fees for Non-Residents are $250 for the first child and $200 for each additional child. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Applications for counselors are available in the Building Department and the Administration office at Borough Hall.

Bergenfield Family Fun Day Sunday June 9th

Bergenfield’s Annual Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday June 9th starting at 1pm and ending at the conclusion of the Fireworks Display. Family Fun Day is free to all Bergenfield residents and features; 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Free Rides, Free Cotton Candy, & Free Sno-Cones 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Music provided by a DJ 9:00 pm: Fireworks Display. There will also be vendors available to purchase additional food/drinks Non-residents may also attend for $5.00 per person with a maximum charge of $30.00 per family Registration for residents will be held on the following Dates/Times in the Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of Borough Hall. 1.      Wednesday, May 15th from 7pm – 9 pm 2.      Saturday, May 18th from 11 am to 1 pm 3.      Thursday, May 23rd from 7pm – 9 pm 4.      Sunday, June 2nd from 12 pm – 2 pm Everyone who plans to attend MUST register. If you cannot register at one of the pre-registration dates, you can register on the day of the event at Memorial Park. Proof of residency is required for residents.

The Easter Egg hunt is open to all Bergenfield residents Infants through 12 years old.

The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.

All Children will receive a gift.

BCCBF schedules Super Bowl celebration

The 3rd Annual BCCBF Super Bowl Party Fundraiser on Sunday, February 7th, at Firehouse #2 on Home Place, will be an evening of exciting football, good food and the company of people who are passionate about the game.

Attendees will view the big game on five televisions and enjoy a catered Super Bowl Buffet.

To add to the excitement, a raffle will be held during the event. Raffle prizes include a 42" Sharp Flat Screen TV donated by Sharp Electronics, and two smaller LCD HDTVs. Additional prizes will be available.

The catered dinner buffet will offer an assortment of food for all tastes, including chicken wings, hot dogs, Italian heroes, pasta, assorted salads, coffee, soda, and desserts. Beer will be available for guests over 21.

The event runs from 5:00PM until game end. Tickets are $25.00 for adults and include one raffle ticket. Additional raffles are $5.00 each, $25.00 for a book of five raffles. Admission for children under 18 is $10.00 and does not include a raffle ticket.

Tickets and raffles can be purchased by calling Jim Bishopp (201-501-8474) or Mark D’Esposito (201-385-9539). Early reservations are suggested as last year's event was a sellout.

The BCCBF 3rd Annual Super Bowl Party Fundraiser is the first event in the committee's 2010 fundraising program. Information about this function and other upcoming events is available at www.bergenfieldcommunitycenter.org , or by calling 201-385-9475.

BCCBF meetings are held at the Memorial Park Field House at 8:00 p.m. on the third
Wednesday of each month. All residents and business owners are invited to attend.  The committee welcomes input and volunteers to assist in programming and fundraising.


Bergenfield Lions Club members Marty Gurwerk, Tom Power, and Mel Weinberg, were first in line to purchase tickets and raffle books for the Super Bowl Party Fundraiser sponsored by the Bergenfield Community Center Building Fund Committee (BCCBF) on Sunday, February 7 at Firehouse #2 on Home Place, beginning at 5:00 pm.  John Scagliotti, BCCBF president, and Bob Gallione, BCCBF Executive Director, delivered the tickets and raffle books during an early Saturday morning meeting of what these community activists call the Breakfast Club.
