The Bergenfield Recreation Committee, in conjunction with the Bergenfield Community Center Building Fund Committee (BCCBF) and the Police Athletic League (PAL) is sponsoring a summer Boot Camp on Thursday evenings from June 30 through August 4 at Bergenfield High School. The Boot Camp is open to boys and girls entering 8th grade through 12th grade.
Certified trainers will work with the youngsters on speed, agility, and strength training to enhance their abilities and performance in their chosen sports.
Two sessions are scheduled for each of the six Thursdays: the first at 7:00 pm and the second at 8:30 pm. Both will be held in the Bergenfield High School gymnasium. Each session is limited to 25 youngsters.
Registration will be held at Bergenfield Borough Hall in the Council Chamber on Sunday, June 5 between 12 noon and 3:00 pm, and Thursday, June 9 between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The cost for Boot Camp is $90.00. Registration for a specific session is on a first-come, first served basis.
Boot Camp is open to all youngsters in the class range specified. Bergenfield residence is not required. Flyers about the Boot Camp have been distributed to students in the Roy Brown Middle School and Bergenfield High School.
