The Bergenfield Garden Club is a grass roots community group looking for new members. The organization of plant lovers has been established in town for the past 90 years and will be celebrating that milestone in the fall. The members are dedicated to learning about the best practices on home gardening and beautifying public space in town. Club activities include:* expert speakers on vegetable and flower gardening* plant propagation* community flower plantings* field trips* seed and plant sharing
This has proven very helpful to new homeowners as well as the newly retired. The club is seeking new project ideas and welcomes the input from new members. The sharing of expert advice from long-term members is always free and a great resource for those inexperienced in propagating and growing plants and vegetables for the home. The love of community and plant ecology has been successful for generations in Bergenfield though this club. Come see if this organization is one you can grow with while meeting like community residents.
