Leaf collection at curbside begins mid-October to early December; check garbage/recycling pickup schedule calendar for exact dates each year. During this period please place your leaves at the curb. After the last date in December, hold leaves until next vegetative waste collection season begins. In the event it is a late season, bag leaves in biodegradable bags (NO plastic bags) and call the DPW Office at 201-387-4055 option 3, as the DPW will make arrangements to pick up your leaves. Depending on the weather, sometimes leaf collection at curbside will be extended; contact the DPW Office at 201-387-4055 option 3 or check Borough website for updates. The DPW has no control over the weather, leaves must be picked up before it snows. Thank you for your assistance.
